91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports Scholarship

91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech is proud to award scholarships to students who demonstrate a commitment to community-building, leadership development, and growth in the esports community. Recipients of an esports scholarship are eligible for a merit scholarship award of $5,000 per year for up to four years (five years for architecture).

How to Apply for the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports Scholarship

Open only to incoming first-year students who are United States citizens or permanent residents, the scholarship has been awarded to candidates who demonstrate the following strengths:

91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports Scholarship candidates must apply to 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech and must submit the following to the Office of Undergraduate Admission no later than March 15:

  • One page essay describing your involvement in Esports

3. Complete and submit the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports Recruitment Form(s) associated with the games you are interested in playing. You are invited to submit a form for multiple games:

Your application materials will be reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admission and your recruiting information will be reviewed by members of the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports leadership team. After a review of all applications, finalists will be invited to the next step in the scholarship selection process in April.

Esports Scholarship Selection Process

  • Finalists for the scholarship will be invited to connect with the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports (ITE) student organizations on the ITE Discord App
  • Finalists will participate in a virtual or in-person meet and greet with members of the ITE leadership team in April
  • Finalists will demonstrate gameplay skills in a series of gaming sessions with members of ITE in April
  • Scholarship recipients will be notified in April

PLEASE NOTE: The 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech Esports Scholarship cannot be combined with full-tuition institutional scholarships such as Duchossois, Camras, Leadership Academy, Collens, and more. If a student earns a full-tuition 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Tech institutional scholarship during the admission process, the university will award the highest institutional award for which the student is qualified but will not combine multiple awards.
