Jeremy V. Fine Announced as Chief Financial Officer of 91Ƭ Tech

91Ƭ Institute of Technology appoints a chief financial officer with more than 25 years of experience in leadership at the CTA, the City of Chicago and other institutions

CHICAGO—September 19, 2024—91Ƭ Institute of Technology (91Ƭ Tech) has appointed Jeremy V. Fine as its new vice president for finance, chief financial officer, and treasurer. Fine, a seasoned financial leader with more than 25 years of diverse experience, will be responsible for overseeing the university’s financial strategy and operations.

Fine joins 91Ƭ Tech after serving as CFO and treasurer at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). In this role, he led a comprehensive financial transformation, managing a $2 billion annual operating budget and a $3.6 billion five-year capital program. Additionally, Fine has served as deputy chief financial officer and deputy comptroller for the City of Chicago, further showcasing his ability to drive financial stability and growth in complex environments.

Fine’s expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and revenue generation has made him a respected figure in the public finance sector.

Fine, originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a founding member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Transit Research Consortium and serves as a trustee for Point University in West Point, Georgia.
