Post-PBA Registration Process

As a post-PBA/degree seeking learner, you must do the following to enroll in your respective degree course(s).

Identify the course(s) you want to enroll in for the term via the Coursera Course Offerings landing page.
Once you have identified your course selection(s), log into the page.
To register for your course(s), select the Register & Pay tab. This tab allows learners to make payments, register and access the registration pin. It is important to confirm that your course is an IIT Coursera course. The corresponding CRN number found on the Coursera Course Offerings landing page is the only way to confirm you are in the correct course.

Late Term Registration

Learners that wish to enroll in courses after the term drop/add deadline, which can be found on the Coursera Academic Calendar, must submit the late registration request form which is located on the Coursera Forms landing page. This is a required policy to ensure that the 91��Ƭ�� Tech support team can properly track and process late registration requests.

Course Drop and Withdrawal

Degree courses can be dropped in the same manner as you register for courses. After entering the PIN, your “Summary” will display all currently registered courses. You can select the “Drop Course” action from the drop-down menu for the course and click on the “Submit” button on the . For more information on dropping post-PBA courses, please refer to the Registration Changes page.

Any courses removed after the last day to add or drop a course are subject to the forfeiture of tuition.

To withdraw from a course, you need to visit the and perform the same process as adding or dropping a course. You may withdraw from one or more courses by the published withdrawal deadline, which can be found in the Coursera Academic Calendar.

If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, you will be timely notified in case you want to register for another course; and be reimbursed.

MOOC Options

As an 91��Ƭ�� Tech Coursera learner, you can enroll in the MOOC/Public version of your course and complete a significant amount of the work prior to enrolling in the credit version at a later term.

To enroll in an 91��Ƭ�� Tech MOOC course, you will need to do the following:

Go to
Search for your 91��Ƭ�� Tech course
Select the Public version of the course
Pay the course fee
Complete the required Modules with at least an 80%
Register for the course in the next available academic term on the 91��Ƭ�� Tech portal.

Credit for Prior Learning

The number of prior learning credits is determined by each program. Credit for prior learning is awarded at the time of successful completion of performance-based admissions and formal acceptance into the degree program. More detailed information about the approved industry certificates can be found at each program website:

You can submit your transfer credit request with related certificates and documentation via and send your inquiry to pwolfe1@iit.edu.

Third Party Sponsorship

To process your third-party sponsorship, you will need to submit a letter of sponsorship and billing information. More detailed information about the process can be found on the How to Arrange Third-party Sponsored Billing website ().

Term Workload

You can take up to 9 credit hours per term (a maximum of 18 credit hours per semester). Fall and Spring terms are broken into two 8-week terms while the Summer consists of only one term. If you wish to exceed the credit hour limit for 91��Ƭ�� Tech Coursera learners, you must do the following:

Fill out a credit overload form: You can find the form on the 91��Ƭ�� Tech Credit Hour Limits website.
Check with your advisor: They’ll need to give you approval before you can register for the extra courses. You can contact your program advisor by email or online office hours on the Advising and Planning website
